Despite the fact that Garmin forgot to pack their Nuvifone for CES, they still had a couple of cool products to demo. Among them is Garmin's unique golfer companion Approach. So if there is anything you want to improve about your golfing game, check out the demo video after the jump.

Although it looks like there might be some bugs with the system when Carly is showing it, the concept itself looks really awesome. Imagine being able to track how far you have to hit to get the ball on the green.

Unfortunately for me, just because I know how far I have to hit it and in what direction, it doesn't mean I actually will hit it there. I'm hoping in future upgrades Garmin will come out with a line of golf balls with a homing device of some sort that will allow me to use the Approach to guide my ball after it gets in the air - kind of like flying those little airplanes.

The interview gives you more info about how this product could help your golf game. Check it out, it might just be a hole in one ... for your golf game.
